Rajinder Kumar Babbar

Mr. Babbar has over 36 years of leadership experience in the banking sector, with a consistent record of establishing and enhancing businesses. His achievements include significant growth in AUM, market share, and profitability across the businesses he has led and managed. During his 23-year tenure at HDFC Bank, he led large teams in Transportation and Infrastructure Finance, Rural Banking, and Retail Liabilities. Previously, he built and managed the Rural Banking Group, covering farmer finance, MSME loans, retail assets, and third-party products. His extensive banking experience includes roles at Centurion Bank, Bank of Punjab, and Central Bank of India, prior to joining HDFC Bank.

He holds a B.Sc. degree, an LLB, and two LLM degrees in Corporate Law and Criminal Law, and he is currently pursuing a PhD from NMIMS, Mumbai. Additionally, he completed a leadership development programme at IIM Ahmedabad.
