Second Anniversary (2017)

The second anniversary was a momentous celebration as that year the Bank instituted the ‘Bandhan Anniversary Lecture’. Dr. Duvvuri Subbarao, former Governor, Reserve Bank of India, delivered the Inaugural Anniversary Lecture on ‘India: Will the Elephant Start Dancing?’  

Dr. Subbarao said that India has the promise and potential to be the next growth miracle on the lines of the Japanese, East Asian and Chinese miracles. At the same time, he emphasised that the Indian growth story is not inevitable. It will materialise only if the country does all the right things at the right time.   

The event also saw a fireside chat with Dr. D Subbarao and Mr. Chandra Shekhar Ghosh on 'Indian Banking: Challenges & Opportunities' moderated by Mr. Tamal Bandyopadhyay, renowned business columnist and author. The evening ended with a performance by Ms. Monali Thakur.
